Basic Life Support and Safe use of an Automated External Defibrillator - half day

 

This Level 2 qualification has been designed for those who have a specific interest or responsibility at work, or in voluntary and community activities, to provide basic life support when dealing with an emergency situation. This may involve use of an AED.

 

 

This course covers:

 

  • Assessing an incident

 

  • Assessing a casualty

 

  • Managing an unresponsive casualty

 

  • Recovery Position

 

  • Chain of survival

 

  • CPR training

 

  • AED training for use on adult and children

 

  • Combined CPR and AED use

 

  • Procedure for when emergency services arrive

 

 

Certification: There will be continuous practical assessments throughout the day.

 

This is a level 2 qualification, all delegates will receive a comprehensive manual and certificate which is accredited by Ofqual.
